You know you're an adict ... when you strip off your clothes right next to the rack at Canoecopia to try on new items.
You know you're among adicts when no one bats an eye.

You know you're an addict when... you set up your newest tent in the living room INSIDE the larger new tent that you received in the mail a couple of days before this!

.....when you bring a headlamp and pee bottle to bed.
My wife really hates that.

I sure hope so (except the diaper part)...I couldn't ask for better son's.

Don't forget these other oddities (I know I'm not the only one to do these...)
-Eating dehydrated meals at home in order to try them out even if you have perfectly good fresh food in the fridge
-Hiking around your neighborhood with a pack filled with sand and a GPS in your hand (have also been known to do it at night with a head lamp)
-You load the canoe on your new canoe rack and the neighbor asks you if you are heading out on a canoe trip...and you have to tell him no...no you're not
-Buying one of those fire pits that you set up in the backyard just so you can test some new cookware
-Driving 40 miles to get some powdered peanut butter
And those are the ones I'm willing to admit to :)

Got a new tent a couple weeks ago and its already been set up 2x in the living room. My kids like to set up one of our smaller tents once every month or so and sleep in it. I've never slept in it in the house but I have in the backyard.

Yes, but I wasn't going to stay too long today. I also live less than 2 miles from the venue, so it's a quick trip. Got there at about 10, stayed until 1:00. And that was a little bit too long for the three year old.

You know you're an addict when... you can't help but naturally type www.bwca.com into your browser multiple times per day, whether or not you intended to go to this site in the first place. It's not a bad place to end up, but it isn't always where I was trying to go.
Speaking of testing gear, I built a quinzee this winter just so I could try my new sleeping bag.

I have done the "tent in the living room" thing, only because it was too big for a bedroom. A smaller tent stays up longer because my wife can tolerate one in the bedroom longer. Once put a big tent in the living room while my wife was out of town for 1-2 weeks. It stayed up until she was almost home.

You are not alone on this one. I also have the fever bad. I am starting to set the gear out in the man-cave for a June trip.

You also know you are hopelessly addicted when you are going to the Quetico at the end of May, and all your gear is already packed.
Welcome to the Bwca addict club...group sessions are here every night in the chat room.

Got a new top quilt in the mail from Jacks-R-Better yesterday. Had to try it out in the backyard last night. (Works great in thirty degrees!)

You get a new tent and have to set it up right away, even if that means setting it up in the living room.
And then you leave it up for a while.
