I have two of them and I think without a doubt the best piece of gear I own!! When solo I use a 8 X 10 as a porch for my solo tent. I use the 12 X 14 for trips with the boy and we have spent many rainy / snowy days under the tarp playing uno for M&M's. They really are heads and shoulders above any other tarp you could own! "

Kyle, you must have been still working on your wood pile because that's just not a Kyle wood pile!

The "boy" looks like he has a very comfy pillow to sit on.

Then it was just like an insurance policy. You have one but hope you don't need to use it,haha

My goes up first at every camp site, regardless if rain is in the forcast. Sun shade is a nice thing after a hot sunny day. I have the 1.9 sil because it gives more shade protection than the 1.1 oz sil.
We use ours over the picnic table when car camping. Gets strung at the beach down at Lake Pepin. I string ours uo in the backyard for large family cookouts too.
If I think about it our CCS tarps actually get used more than our tents do throughout the year.

CCS tarps ....not just for camping anymore.

I rented one for my trip a couple of weeks ago. My brother and I were impressed with it.

I replaced my old tarp with one of CCS' Tundra Tarps for my 2 BWCA trips this September. After two days of hard driving rain and very windy conditions, I have to say it was one of the best purchases I made. I am not one to gush over gear normally, but the tarp held up to pretty fierce winds very nicely and was bone dry. I wish I could say as much for my rain jacket and pants....
