Well we had a conference call with the guys from Missouri tonight and have decided on entry point 47 and going to Horseshoe/Vista lake area. We will be going July 31 thru August 5. Hopefully we can get a permit for that time, should be able to find out soon if any are available. Any info on this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Alpine, Seagull, Ogish, Red Rock and Saganaga are all good for walleyes. So is the South Arm of Knife.

I've gone in through Lizz/Swamp a couple times. I think it's #47. I have had pretty good luck for walleyes on Caribou. It's a pretty easy entry point with no long or difficult portages. Let me know if you decide to go there and I can get you some info if you need it.

If you can give me a general idea of where you might go I would be willing to email you some info on different lakes.
If you have no idea where you want to go yet some options for good walleye fishing would be: 1) Granite River 2) A loop going through Seagull-Ogish-S. Arm Knife-Ottertrack-Sag 3) Take the boat to Sag; fish Sag and take some day trips.

My fall group wants to try a new area this year and they want to check out the the Gunflint Trail area. We will be going in the first week of August because of school conflicts with the kid that goes with us. I know the gunflint area pretty well but have only fished for lakers before. I need some info on walleye lakes and entry points along the trail. Thanks for any and all information.
