there are no specific restrictions for dispersed camping but all of the places you have mentioned have gotten a lot more traffic in the last 5-7 years due to people talking about them online. the forest service asks that people reduce the damage inflicted by trying to camp where others have camped previously. have fun but be careful how much you talk about it. :)

No restrictions I know of, as far as remote/wilderness camping.

First of all I know this is a BWCA site, but I know there are a lot of Wisconsin residents that read these posts. I love the BW it is just too far away for a weekend trip. I was wondering what people knew about the designated wilderness areas in Wisconsin. Specifically on the eastern side, Headwaters, Blackjack springs or whisker lake? Are there any restrictions on winter camping within the national forest that I need to be aware of in Wisconsin. I am having trouble finding specific information that adressess winter camping.
