I have used folger's singles for years. Last year I got a Bodum French Press travel mug free at Dunn Borthers when I bought some beans. Tried it at home, and I am going to bring it with this year. Definitely an upgrade in taste and not much hassle. I'll use the mug for other drinks when it is not used for coffee so no extra gear.

Excited by the thought in the morning.

I tried some off-brand coffee 'tea bags' from the dollar store last year. Not as good as perked or brewed but got buy. Actually, I'm trying to make a decision for this year. Singles are convenient and perked is super.

If the choice is between the Folgers singles and instant coffee the singles win hands down. Ive found they are better for shorter, less populated trips though.

They are real coffee if you consider Folgers coffee. Sorry....coffee snob. Hahaha.

I believe it is instant and ground together. I moved onto bring fresh ground coffee and using a single cup brewer and filters. No mess and way better flavor. More caffeine too.

Love the singles. It is the real stuff

It is coffee grounds, as they do not dissolve in the water. I use them and love the real coffee taste without the hassle of perking or pressing. Not as good as some coffee but great for trail, I have considered making my own Coffee "tea bags" of better coffee but just haven't gotten to it.

Anyone know if the Folgers Singles is actually instant coffee in packets or real coffee. A friend of mine once said it was instant coffee in the bags and not real coffee grounds.
