Great job Fishguts,
I hope to get in the BWJ some day.
jamotrade 01/30/2009 03:39PM
Hey Fishguts,

What site is the picture from on Isabella? Looks like a nice one. I will be in the area with a group of 6 in June. Did you find sites on Isabella or Boga that have enough tent pads for a large group?
mr.barley 10/06/2008 10:14AM
It was my understanding that BWJ only wanted 6 MP or better photos. Apparently that's not the case anymore. I may have to try to make a few bucks myself. ;-)
fishguts 10/06/2008 09:52AM
phisherman,
You'll love this! I use a Kodak P850 Digital Camera 5.1 mega pixels.
It has a Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 36mm-432mm lens, 12X Optical Zoom.
Takes good pictures and lots of them.
We took 1460 pictures on our last trip between my son and I.
Here is one of me and my camera with a Smallmouth Bass on Suzanette in Quetico last June.

Fishguts,

Congrats on your multiple published picture...this BWJ issue and past issues...I'm curious about what kind of camera you use, lens, set up etc. Do you bring a tripod? Thanks.

FG

That is very cool, and nice pics too!

Congrats
fishguts 10/02/2008 02:34PM
timatkn,
Ya! $50 for each 1/2 page picture.....$100 for a full page.
Won't pay for the trip, but makes it nice....
I'm not giving up my day job.
Leute 10/02/2008 01:27PM
Nice Work!
timatkn 10/02/2008 12:04PM
Fishguts, Does the publisher pay you when they publish your pictures? I think I remember reading in the BWJ an article asking for pictures and pricing. Good way to make a little extra cash to take the sting out of the money spent on a trip. All while having fun too--eh?

Tim
kanoes 09/30/2008 05:06PM
well then....CONGRATS! :) (glad to have that cleared up)
fishguts 09/30/2008 04:59PM
Kanoes,
Ya! My apologies too, what I was displeased with was the Palm Tree concept and had nothing to do with you. I like the Bear Paw much better. Seems to fit too! ;)
kanoes 09/30/2008 04:51PM
fishguts? if i misunderstood your *intent when you originally typed that "quote" in a different thread...please accept my apology.
Magic 09/30/2008 03:06PM

Obergut,
He's not an idiot, he "Special".

And you should really go easy on him, this site is his life, and now that he's afraid to go in the woods anymore...

Well, lets just say, I would hate to see us lose good members here to the "Special K koolaid".
Obergut 09/30/2008 11:30AM
Nice pics FG. You have a good eye.

Did I just read the 5003rd idiotic remark?
journeyman 09/30/2008 11:16AM
Congrats Fishguts!

I'll watch for it.
Bannock 09/30/2008 09:22AM
Congrats!!!

I skim throught the mag first and look at the pics, titles of the articles and their authors, so I hvae seen all those pics.

I just started reading it and am working on the solo article. Your center picture is in that article, something about bringing a book, right?

Anyway, grear job. Congrats!
highplainsdrifter 09/30/2008 08:23AM

Neat rain picture.
I love to paddle in the rain (really) as long as the wind is not blowing. Rain makes a neat sound as it hits the lake surface
Timberrrgirl 09/30/2008 07:44AM
Nice! Congrats and thanks for sharing the great news and great photos... TG
fishguts 09/29/2008 10:40PM

Paddleboy 09/29/2008 10:17PM
Congrats, very cool.

Can you tell me where those were taken at?
fishguts 09/29/2008 10:12PM
Boppa,
Thanks!I don't know about magic,
I think magic happens if you have a
good digital camera and take over a
thousand pictures on a ten day trip.
Even a blind pig will find an acorn
once in a while....if he work at it.
;}
Boppa 09/29/2008 09:40PM
Fishguts,
Nice job, you must have a magic eye.
